I bought a reconditioned pneumatic nailer for weekend work around the house — decking and trim, the usual — figured it’d make my projects faster. Both units I received had two nails jammed in the magazine and wouldn’t fire, so I sent the first back for an exchange and the replacement was exactly the same. I asked for a refund; they did email a return label and said they’d process it once received. The package arrived at their facility early May, but nothing happened for days. I called on the tenth and was told 3–5 business days; that was already longer than that. I asked to speak to a supervisor, they were in a meeting, so I left a message. I waited a week, called again — supervisor at lunch. I kept calling, left more messages, and after four calls total the refund finally posted on the 22nd. Relieved it worked out and honestly glad to have my money back, but the whole delivery/returns and customer service experience was slow and frustrating. Won’t risk ordering reconditioned tools from them again.

I opened the box thinking, okay, not perfect but fine — then the back-and-forth started and it just wore me down. The order itself arrived on time, no issues there, but the return process was a mess. I called the same day it showed up because I wanted an RMA and a prepaid label, and the person on the line was brusque and basically said I was on my own for shipping. That stuck with me more than the product actually. I get that policies exist, but the way they were applied felt arbitrary — and repeated calls over a couple of weeks didn't help. I was bounced around, told a supervisor would call back, never did, and kept getting variations of "we'll see" which, well, didn't help me see anything. It cost me way more to send the items back than it should have, which is what really stung. On the plus side, the items were packaged okay and delivery was prompt, so there were some pros. I’ve had better follow-up with other online stores, where a return label was emailed in five minutes, so maybe my experience was unusual. Still, the lack of accountability and the attitude on the phone are what I remember. Mildly annoyed is putting it nicely — I expected a straighter-forward process and a bit more courtesy. If they sorted returns with the same efficiency as shipping, this could be a decent option, but right now I’m hesitant to order again unless I hear they've actually changed how they handle this stuff.

the rep told me they wouldn’t accept a return because I had put gas in it. Which is maddening, because it smelled used when I opened it; someone else must’ve filled it before shipping. I asked for a replacement, a credit, or at least to drop it off at the Troy location so they could verify it was a lemon. Instead I was told to deal with Troy myself and was handed off. I spent a few emails and two calls over a week getting different answers, so now there’s a useless blower in my garage and no simple remedy. Technically the tool performed fine the first time — that’s the one positive — but the post-sale handling and shifting policies overshadow that. For a $270 purchase I expected clearer follow-through. Bottom line: decent hardware potential, poor aftercare; if you rely on advertised guarantees, be prepared for fine print.
