Afternoon light on the wall
Afternoon light on the wall
ProductLate afternoon light catches his smile on the canvas and for a minute it feels like he's just come back from the porch. I ordered about fifty canvases over a few years and a couple of pillows too, mostly because after my husband passed — after 66 years together and a long fight with Alzheimer’s — I needed familiar faces around me. I'm 90, so slow and picky. The print quality surprised me. The colours are richer than I expected and the texture looks real from a few feet away. They even tucked a small handwritten note in one package, which I didn't expect and liked. These pieces make quiet days easier. I keep them on the living room walls and look at them when I miss him.

ProductI decided to try Canvas People for some family shots when I was redoing the living room last month. The files I sent were big (about 20–28 MB each) and on my dual monitors they looked pin‑sharp, so I was actually excited. The 11x14 canvases that arrived, though, were a letdown — several looked soft, a couple seemed slightly out of focus, and the fine detail was mostly lost. Felt like they shrank the files before printing. Customer service was helpful enough; the rep asked for photos of the front of each print and the barcode on the back, so I sent 18 pics to start a refund. She sounded sincere about issuing it, so I’m cautiously optimistic. Nice idea, poor print quality — lesson learned.
