Online course purchase
The customer service at that online course provider was absolutely terrible. It was basically non-existent, with no one to talk to on the phone. I had to keep bugging them to get anything done, and even then, it seemed like my concerns weren't being taken seriously. As a customer, I expect better communication and support from a company that's supposed to be good, especially when I'm putting my time and money into a course.

I was really let down by the service I got and it's made me pretty mad. I don't think I'll use them again in the future and I might even think about taking legal action if I have to.
Online course purchase
This online course was such a letdown. The videos were just recordings of university professors and there was no real interaction with a live teacher. The tutor they assigned me was so demanding and wanted all these complicated documents without actually helping me. And don't even get me started on their refund policy - when I tried to get my money back, they were so difficult and just made up excuses. I can't believe this company is still operating in Canada.
certificate missing, bad service
Oh my goodness, I completed my course a while back and still haven't received my certificate, like seriously? I reached out to them and all they do is give me excuses and take forever to respond. It's frustrating because the course was really enjoyable and interesting, but their customer service is terrible. I'm going to suggest to the University that they look for a new provider because this situation is so annoying. 🙄
Online course disaster
I took this online course that had great content, but the whole thing went downhill when they tried to send me my certificate. I've been waiting for 7 months now and every time they send it, it goes to the wrong address. Can you believe one time it even came with the Oxford logo upside down? The customer service is terrible and they haven't fixed anything yet. This whole mess has ruined the course for me, don't think I'd suggest it to anyone.
Online course feedback
I was really let down by the customer service at this online course. Even though I got a low grade, I couldn't even ask for help or figure out why. The support system was pretty useless and couldn't deal with these kinds of issues. I'd recommend steering clear of this online course because it seems like they're up to some shady stuff.
Online course registration
I was really let down by my experience with GetSmarter. It's not cool that they don't tell you how much courses cost ahead of time. I shouldn't have to sign up before knowing the price. Being upfront about costs is important when buying online, and GetSmarter dropped the ball on that.
Online course purchase
I signed up for an online course recently and it has been a total headache. Right from the get-go, there were issues with not getting any information once the course started. I contacted their support team multiple times and each time they said they would send the info via email that same day, but I never got anything. The lack of communication and follow-through was so frustrating. When I finally asked for a refund, they made it super hard to figure out the process. It took multiple back-and-forths with their support team before the problem was fixed and I got my money back. Their payment support team was just as unhelpful – I had trouble getting a correct credit note for weeks. Despite me clearly explaining what I needed, they kept sending me wrong versions. It's been weeks since my last email and I still haven't heard back or received the right credit note. Overall, it was a terrible experience that I wouldn't wish on anyone, especially with their high prices.
Online courses from well-known universities
Hey there, just a heads up about investing in online courses from big universities - sometimes it's not worth the hefty price tag. I've been there myself, feeling let down after shelling out a bunch of cash for a course that didn't deliver. My advice? Do your homework before handing over your hard-earned money. Some of these courses might actually be free on other sites, so it's important to really think about whether the prestige of the university is worth the cost. And don't get me started on the lack of customer service you might encounter once you've paid - it can be super frustrating and leave you feeling ripped off. Take the time to explore your options and weigh the pros and cons before splurging on an expensive online course from a big-name school.
Online course engagement with industry leaders
I was pretty let down by my time at GetSmarter. The course material was informative and all, but I didn't really connect with the industry experts like they said I would. It felt like the student profiles were probably fake, made by some computer program. Not having those real interactions definitely made it harder for me to learn.
Sustainability course disappointment
Before I signed up for the sustainability course, I was really excited to learn some top-notch stuff from Oxford University through GetSmarter. But turns out, the course material was outdated and sometimes wrong, so I decided to drop out. Even though GetSmarter said I'd get all my money back, I still haven't seen a dime. Their lack of communication is really getting on my nerves and making me worried. All in all, this whole thing has been a letdown.
Certificate not received
I've been waiting for my certificate for over a year now and it's so frustrating. I even asked for an electronic copy but my request was totally ignored. They said I'd get my certificate in May 2023 and here we are, still waiting. It's ridiculous to wait this long for just a piece of paper.
Online course purchase
I thought the online course was kinda lacking. It wasn't very interactive and didn't have much depth. I felt like I was all on my own in the class with no support. The lean canvas module did have some good info, but in general, it just didn't live up to what I was hoping for.
Online course during the pandemic
So I decided to try this online course during the pandemic, thinking I could totally handle it. But man, was I mistaken! It's been way tougher than I anticipated trying to learn and work in the same spot all day. I just can't seem to concentrate or get anything accomplished. So a few days later, I asked if I could postpone the course, but they refused due to their policies. How unfair is that, eh? It would've been great if they were more compassionate and flexible. I wouldn't suggest taking a course with them for sure.
NUS UX Design Course
Oh man, that course was a total disaster. The lectures were just not up to par, and there was a serious lack of substance. Plus, they didn't even cover everything about Figma like they were supposed to. The assignment submission dates were all over the place, and don't even get me started on how it's been two months and still no certificate. The communication from Get Smarter has been really disappointing. I would definitely steer clear of this course!
Online school stuff
Online school stuff is pretty terrible, I can't believe they even partner with reputable schools. Their customer service is absolutely awful, you have to jump through so many hoops just to speak to someone who doesn't have a clue. And don't even get me started on the phone lines - you can hardly hear a thing! It's like they're just there to take your money and offer zero assistance.
AI course with poor technology
The technology they used for the AI course was really frustrating. The layout and navigation of GetSmarter made it so hard to follow the course material and I kept missing important sessions. I ended up wasting a lot of time just trying to figure out how to use the platform instead of actually learning from the course. I wish I had read reviews before buying this course.
AI Course with MIT
So I just finished this AI course at MIT and honestly, it wasn't all that great. It felt like I was just a number in a sea of people, making it hard to really engage in discussions. Plus, getting feedback on my work took forever, which made it tough to know how I was doing. The videos from the MIT professors were cool and all, but some of the other materials were way outdated. It didn't really match up with what's happening in AI right now. The best part was definitely the assignments though, they were linked to real projects and helped me see how everything could be used in the real world.
