Unexpected relief after a rough start
Unexpected relief after a rough start
CommunicationI tried this subscription a month ago when I needed quick clips for class. At first nothing would download. I messaged support a bunch — same canned reply every time — and I was annoyed, honestly. Then, after another ping, someone actually helped and walked me through the settings. Downloads now run fine. Feels a bit clunky sometimes but it does the job. I still wish the first response was better. Glad it worked out in the end though — really saved my day, honestly.
Coupon paid, no licence received

ComplaintsI paid with a Black Friday coupon through PayPal and waited a couple of days for the licence. Support replied saying my email wasn't on file and that an unexpected error meant no licence number was issued. I use this software daily for my web design side hustle and it otherwise does the job, but asked to repurchase at full price was frustrating and not ideal.

Follow-upI reviewed YTD Video Downloader on my site after a reader tipped me. It worked fine at first, a simple downloader that did what it said. Then AdSense emailed me. Google flagged the software as providing hacking content. I emailed YTD support four times and waited nearly 20 days. No real reply. No follow-up. Their support was silent and unhelpful. I took the review down to avoid risking my site. The tool itself seemed ok, but that safety warning plus no response made me remove it. Disappointing, honestly, and a bit worrying.

Communicationnow it “suggests” the ultimate plan and you can’t ignore it. That’s the main gripe — the upgrade push is annoying and feels like a cash grab. I emailed support a bunch of times (around 20–25 messages, not joking) and got no useful reply, no phone number, nothing. Still, the basic downloader still works for most files, so it’s not entirely broken — just disappointing and clumsy. If you need reliability and reachable support, beware.

Communicationit worked with a VPN for a week. Felt odd, but at least it worked. Now even the VPN trick is dead. I pay for a subscription, and it’s just not delivering. I don’t expect miracles, but a little troubleshooting or a proper response would be nice. Still like the app otherwise. Just disappointing to be stuck and ignored.
