it was just a seven-day trial and I couldn’t find a way to cancel. The app even popped a message saying it wouldn’t let me log off (odd), but weirdly it did block a sketchy ad I hadn’t noticed before, so not all bad.

I won't use them again — that's my main takeaway. Slow speeds I can live with, but the auto-pay being on by default and barely mentioned? That's a deal breaker. It felt almost deliberately hidden; finding the toggle to switch it off was a pain and not obvious at all. Support didn't help much either — a canned reply and a reminder about a past outage and refund (which they apparently consider final), plus a line about "we don't issue refunds anymore." That left me feeling dismissed. For a VPN trust matters more than anything, and that trust is worn out for me. I'm disappointed, honestly. If you try this service, double-check billing settings and keep screenshots — that's my advice.
