Account creation and funding source issue

Complaints

I tried to make an account on the platform, but had trouble adding a way to pay for stuff. Although I managed to add a payment method at first, I had problems creating a card. I tried fixing it by taking out the payment method and adding it again, but it didn't work. Then, I tried using a debit card like the website recommended. Even though the card was accepted and a small charge was made to confirm it, I got an error saying only active accounts could use payment cards. So, I reached out to support for help, and explained what was going on. I got a reply saying they couldn't help me right now because they couldn't confirm my identity with the info I gave when signing up. So, my account got suspended and the payment method I added was removed for safety. Even after trying to get more info and a solution, I got generic responses that didn't really solve the verification problem. It made me feel frustrated and unsure if I can still use the service in the future.

Virtual card dispute

Complaints

I had a problem with my virtual card from Privacy recently. I made a virtual card with a spending limit, but when the merchant charged me extra, I thought Privacy wouldn't allow it since it was over the limit. Turns out, Privacy processed the charge anyway and I got an email showing the amount authorized plus the extra fee. Now I know it's better to link funding sources like a debit card or bank account to avoid issues. I had to dispute the charge with Privacy to get my refund. This whole situation made me realize I need to be more careful with virtual card transactions in the future.
