Sizing that doesn't add up

Product

I bought this carry-on because I travel for work and I needed something that actually fits airline rules. I had doubts before buying — the dimensions looked tight on the product page and I kept thinking, is this for real? Turns out my doubts were justified. The bag I received is noticeably larger than the listed size. That alone is annoying, but the real problem was support. They said the site only lists suggested sizes (which felt like them shifting blame). I tried the return portal and it couldn't find my order. Then I waited for the AI concierge and later 35 minutes for a human agent who never joined. I gave up. So are my doubts gone? Not at all. I still need a dependable carry-on and this experience made me more wary. Small rant, but it cost time and stress — and for business travel that's a problem.

That zipper didn't stand a chance

Service

lightweight, nice finish, registration for the warranty was annoyingly easy. But after one flight the zipper literally fell off. Yep, came away. I expected a simple fix or a quick replacement part under the warranty, since I’d registered within weeks. Nope. Customer service was the frustrating bit. The rep (Marvin) answered, and after many emails later they offered to send a zipper if I paid shipping. And get this: they didn’t even know when they'd have the right colour in stock. So they wanted me to pay $16.58 to ship a part that might not match. That felt penny-pinching and lazy. I’ve had cheaper carry-ons from Amazon last years with no drama, so that stung — could have saved myself the trouble. On the plus side, the bag looked nice and was light to carry. But aesthetics don’t mean much when basic hardware fails and the company won’t properly support you. Not all is terrible, but I won’t be buying from them again. Also, it’s annoying because my family warned me — they said it'd be a waste — and they were right, haha. If you care about decent support, look elsewhere; if you just like the look, fine, but be prepared for a possible fuss.

Not quite the upgrade I hoped for

Product

I first noticed this case at my sister’s place — she’d bought it on a whim and waved it about like it was the next big thing. I was skeptical then. I read the hype online and thought, hmm, maybe. So I ordered one myself to see if it was worth the fuss. At first glance it seems nice. Good volume, light enough to lug around, and the colour looked sharp. But the doubts I had before buying didn’t really vanish. The wheels tip more than I expected, worse than the cheap one I had before, weirdly. And the handle, well, it keeps sliding down on bumpy sidewalks. It collapses while you’re walking, which is annoying — not dramatic, just annoying. On the plus side, it holds a lot. I do like the interior pockets, they’re practical, and I’ll admit I felt a little smug packing it. Customer service was slow to respond about an invoice and the website gave me grief during checkout, so that left a sour taste. Overall, not a disaster, but not the clear step up the marketing promised. Still using it, but with reservations.

Small snag, but still my go-to luggage

Returns & Refunds

wheels still roll, fabric hasn’t shredded, and they do their job day to day. There’s a bit of wear — nothing surprising after two years — so I get that not everything is covered, but the contradiction between the warranty language and the parts-unavailable answer is annoying. Would I buy from them again? Probably, yeah. I like the overall design and the quick communication. I’d just be more cautious about depending on that warranty being useful if the exact part you need is from an older line. All in all: good product, decent service, delivery was reliable, but the warranty follow-through could be better. If you rely heavily on long-term repairs, maybe double-check availability; if you want reliable luggage that looks after you for a couple of years, this will do the trick.

Small suitcase, big headache

Returns & Refunds

sturdy zips, decent wheels, looked sharp. Fast forward to now and, uh, most of it is basically unusable. That part actually surprised me — I did expect better longevity — but the thing I want to talk about is how the warranty and the whole replacement dance played out, because that’s the real kicker.
I filed replacement requests for two pieces and thought, simple, right? Nope. They wouldn’t let me combine the bags onto one ticket even though it was the same matching set. So I get offered a replacement for one bag — in black — but only after this bizarre $50 “shipping” fee that shows as $0 shipping cost and then taxes applied to that fee. That was confusing and felt like being nickelled and dimed. I even had to point out a bag on their own website that matched the other piece, and they first said it was out of stock. I sent the link — literally — and they suddenly made a “one-time exception.” Sounds okay, except their invoice didn’t list the colour or name, just an SKU number. When I asked them to add the colour it turned into a whole saga: now they said it would be the same style as the other replacement but in violet, which wasn’t what I asked for.
So I’m stuck in this loop where they keep saying the bag has been ordered (it hasn’t — I haven’t paid), and somehow nothing can be changed, even though they did change things earlier on the other ticket. The whole experience made me feel like you need to be half-lawyer to interpret their messages. Annoying, and honestly a little demoralizing. I like the luggage itself — when it works — but the support side left me frustrated and kind of bemused. Not a great end to what started off promising.
