Returned boots, refund refused — ignored my legal letter
Returned boots, refund refused — ignored my legal letter
Returns & RefundsI wouldn't order from them again, mostly because of how they handled my return. I got a pair of boots that looked fine online but were too small, so I tried them on at home (just in socks) and boxed them back up. I shipped them within the return window, took photos of the boots and the box right at the post office — you know, as proof — and I have those photos. Still, when I asked for a refund the shop said there were "signs of use" and refused the return. That felt off. I mean, they'd only been on my feet for five minutes, barely. I even had a lawyer write a letter pointing out my rights (I'm not usually legal-y about things), and that was ignored — completely. No real evidence, no follow-up, just silence. I've had better luck with other retailers — one company I used before sorted a similar mix-up in a day — so I do think some stores try to make returns easy, and some frankly don't. I was skeptical about making a fuss, but sharing this felt like the right move. Not thrilled with the outcome, but glad I documented everything; maybe it'll help someone else avoid the same headache. Also, customer service barely replied, which was disappointing and, well, kind of weird.
Tough start, happy ending
Tough start, happy ending
Returns & RefundsI went in wanting to support a neighbourhood shop — I’m the kind who prefers that over clicking around online — but I was wary from the start. Bought a pair of shoes I needed because my lower back’s been acting up (long days on my feet), and later realized the fit wasn’t right. Work hours meant I couldn’t pop back during their short opening times, so by the time I managed to get there I was just past what they call a 14-day exchange window. The shoes were pristine, still in the bag, never worn. Staff hadn’t mentioned a strict 14-day rule when I bought them (I would’ve remembered). At first the owner was pretty blunt — no flexibility at all — which felt cold, especially since I had other items in my hands I was ready to buy. That part annoyed me; I left thinking I’d stick with online stores next time. I did send a short message later (just to explain the back-pain angle and my schedule) and, to my surprise, they replied and offered a one-time exchange. Not perfect, but that small exception mattered. So yeah, I started skeptical and a bit miffed, but ended up satisfied enough to recommend giving them a shot — just ask about the return rules up front.
