Colors don't lie

Product

one is pale and thin, barely hangs on my skin; the other is deep, richer and lasts way longer. I was actually surprised how different they are. I emailed MicroPerfumes and messaged them, no reply though, which is annoying. Still, the darker one is a keeper — better than stuff I’ve had from other brands.

Almost bailed, glad I waited

Product

I saw these samples on a friend’s feed and nearly shrugged it off. Was a bit wary — no tracking for the first order and slow replies had me miffed. Still, I gave them another shot because the scent notes sounded interesting. Glad I did. The little vial is easy to dab, not overpowering, and it settles into a warm, slightly sweet skin scent after a couple hours. Longevity isn’t wild, but it layers nicely with lotion. Packaging was plain but fine. Service could be quicker though. Overall happy I risked it — surprised, actually.

Bottle looked real, wasn't

Product

I wouldn’t trust this seller. I needed an Oud Wood for our anniversary — wanted something special, not a gamble — and what arrived looked legit until I opened it. Midway through unwrapping I realised the bottle was leaking and the scent was... thin, like diluted granny perfume. Oddly, the glass and cap fooled me at first, heavy and convincing, so they get a point for presentation. The sample sent was the wrong one (Lost Cherry), and the order form had been quietly altered, which pushed me over the edge. I told them I suspected refilled retail bottles and fake barcodes; they refused a refund and offered a replacement of the same diluted mess. After sitting in freezing trucks the fragrance was basically ruined — $275 for watery sadness.

Small spray, mixed results

Product

I spotted these micro perfumes on a friend's shelf and a colleague suggested I try a set, so I ordered with a bit of scepticism — mainly worried they'd be weak or inaccurate. The truth is mixed. About six of the samples matched what I know from the brands, which was a relief, and one lasted longer than I expected, which surprised me in a good way. On the down side, two scents were off compared to what I'm used to, and the cap design is awkward. You have to pop it off and dab, which feels wasteful and isn't ideal if your dermatologist advised against direct skin application. Overall I won't avoid the brand entirely, but I'll be pickier next time.
