Sold fast, paid slow

ServiceOpened the app one morning thinking a sale would sort itself out, but I ended up spending weeks chasing a payout. I use this site to sell extra kitchen stuff and a few tools for day-to-day bills, so the delays actually matter. Delivery was fine — parcels showed up — but customer service kept giving vague answers and wouldn't send clear account statements I asked for more than once. Listings are easy and buyers are okay, and yeah there's a little hope, but the payment side and support need fixing.

ServiceThey picked up my items in October 2025, but months later I’ve had no real payment and barely any follow-up. I got long stretches of silence, then the same vague line about “reviewing” (repeat, repeat). Compared to other buyers I’ve used, who sort things out in a couple weeks, this was slow and sloppy. At least they actually showed up to collect — small relief — but that hardly fixes the no-pay issue. I’m now looking at legal steps, which is frustrating and unnecessary. They weren’t helpful, honestly. Wouldn’t go with them again, unless things change.

CommunicationI was ready to call this a scam, but after a lot of pushing my consignments were finally dealt with. I needed to sell a bunch of heavy pieces because we were moving and my back can't handle them anymore, so I consigned in good faith. For months I got vague emails, bounced between departments and even drove to the shop to try and sort it out—no one really knew what was happening. The office number they gave me didn't work and they kept sending promos and doing Instagram lives while ignoring basic status updates. Annoying. I had to escalate via social media and one persistent email thread, and eventually things moved. Not smooth, but not a total loss.
Worth the patience

Communicationin the end I’m mostly pleased. At first I was pretty skeptical — items gone quiet, promised updates that never showed, and I was ready to pull everything back. I've had worse run-ins with other consignors so I wasn't totally surprised, but still, it was annoying. What flipped it for me was that after a push — a few emails, a call — they finally gave a clear report and payment followed. Not instant, not perfect, but honest communication improved and the numbers matched what I expected. Could they be faster? Absolutely. Would I consign with them again? Yeah, I think so — cautiously, and with better record-keeping on my side. Overall: patient, persistent, and it paid off. Also their staff sounded genuinely apologetic, and they offered more detailed reports than I expected. Small improvements would go a long way.
Quiet, then a tiny win

Communicationone afternoon an actual person emailed me a clear inventory and a simple plan to find my items. Not perfect. It took too long. But that moment — seeing the list with dates — was when I finally felt relieved and ready to recommend cautiously. Keep notes, follow up, I even tipped a pal but warned them.

ServiceI was halfway through dinner when my phone buzzed with the last payment — that’s the moment I realised it was actually over and I could breathe. Sold a handful of nicer secondhand pieces through them to cover rent and a few unexpected bills, and most of it went smoothly at first. The staff I dealt with were pleasant and tried to help, but getting the money out of the owners turned into a long, annoying thing (emails ignored, constant reminders from me). Eventually, after a lot of chasing and a few stern messages, the bulk was paid and only a small balance remains outstanding. I’m relieved and honestly pretty thankful it didn’t end worse, though I won’t pretend it was simple. If you’re selling luxury stuff and need quick, reliable payouts, I’d be cautious — I ended up switching to a different place for later items and sleep a bit easier now.
Stuck in a follow-up loop
Stuck in a follow-up loop
Communicationpayments were slow at first, then inconsistent, then basically silent after July 2025. I’ve consigned more than ten items and I’m still owed money and a couple of garments that were meant to be returned. I emailed repeatedly, kept records, sent timestamps and copy receipts, even tried calling, and mostly heard nothing. That lack of communication is the real problem — it’s not dramatic, it’s just frustrating and tiring to chase. The model feels like it relies on people not pushing back, which is awkward because you shouldn’t have to become a detective to get paid. I’m preparing small claims now, not flippantly, but because options are limited. If you only care about how quickly things sell and you’ll vigilantly monitor every sale, CSD performs well on the sales side. If you expect timely, transparent payouts and decent central-office responses, be prepared to push. I’m disappointed — a little sad that a few favourite pieces are in limbo — and annoyed that it turned into a paperwork fight. My practical advice: document everything from drop-off, follow up regularly, save every message, and don’t assume the written terms mean they’ll act without prompting. Could’ve been a simple, pleasant experience; instead it’s been a nuisance.
