    Emergency roadside assistance

    I've been a Good Sam member for years, but never really had to use it until now. My son-in-law's truck had a tire blowout in Vegas, and he was stuck there for hours before finally having to pay for a tow himself. Customer service was unhelpful and didn't respond well. The tow company Good Sam called never even showed up - it was just all so frustrating!

    Last roadside assistance service

    I recently had to call for roadside help for my RV because there was an issue with the rear brake on the driver's side. It was a bit of a mess trying to get everything sorted out. When I talked to different people, they weren't very helpful and didn't really follow through. The first person didn't give me a claim number, which just made things more confusing and delayed getting it fixed. Every time I called someone new, they didn't have a solution and just passed me off to someone else. Finally, when I talked to someone in California, we started to make some progress, but there were still some mix-ups. After lots of frustrating calls and waiting, we were able to schedule a repair with a mechanic they recommended for the next day. The whole thing took way longer than it should have and was a real headache. I was pretty disappointed with the service overall.

    Roadside assistance purchase

    I signed up for roadside assistance last October, thinking it would give me peace of mind in case of emergencies. But then my car battery died recently, and when I called for help, I was surprised to learn that my policy was mysteriously red-flagged and cancelled. I was left stranded with no help from the service I relied on. Now I have to pay $100 out of my own pocket to another company for a jump start. This whole situation was really frustrating and let me down.

    Roadside assistance for camper

    I recently had a real bummer of an experience needing some roadside assistance for my camper while traveling through Alabama. The radiator just split right down the side, and I was stuck needing a tow truck. So, I reached out to the company, gave them all the info they needed, and they told me the nearest tow truck would take one to two hours to get to us. Well, turns out my wife had to take matters into her own hands and hitch a ride to an auto parts store while I got to work fixing the radiator on my own. And guess what? The tow truck never actually showed up! Super frustrating and it really left us unimpressed with the service. Not gonna be using their services again after this whole mess.

    Flat tire emergency

    I had a flat tire emergency and had to call for help. The person on the phone said they'd help, but then no one showed up for like three hours! And when I called back, the person hung up on me, so rude! Finally, they said they'd take care of it and call me back, but when I called after two hours, they said they would contact the service and call me, like, what!? Another hour passed, making it 6 hours in total, and still no help. My wife called and got the same story, like, come on! They even said they had no record of our service number, so frustrating! After more waiting and no response, I had to take matters into my own hands and called someone myself. They showed up in 15 minutes and helped me put on the spare tire. Finally, someone called after 8 hours and asked if we still needed help. Like, seriously!? When my membership runs out, I am so not renewing it, what a waste of time and money!

    RV roadside insurance

    I recently bought RV roadside insurance for my camper trip across the country. Unfortunately, when my camper had a flat tire on Highway 15 just north of Salt Lake City, the Good Sam service was a big disappointment. They gave me the name of a repair company and an estimated arrival time, but the company never showed up. I had to ask a Utah highway patrol officer for help changing the tire in the end. My brother had a similar experience with Good Sam, where they also didn't deliver the promised service not once but twice. When I reached out to their customer service about these issues, I got a poor response and only a partial refund of what I paid. Overall, I'm really let down with the roadside assistance from this company, and their customer service was not up to par.

    Good Sam RV/car membership

    Good Sam's 206 "1 star" reviews really say it all but...I was locked out of my vehicle. It was freezing, February and soon to be dark. I called my husband and he proceeded to contact Good(Bad) Sam. Thé dispatch agent kept stating that he could not get any answer to initiate our request. I waited over an hour and still no call to even dispatch a tow truck. We arranged for a local company to come - they were there is less than 10 minutes-and we have yet to hear back from our SOS to Good Sam. They should be ashamed of themselves for consistently leaving their paying customers in bad situations.
