I was so disappointed when I found out that the Chromebook parental control feature didn't really work. I was hopeful at first, but it was clear that my kid could just turn it off whenever they felt like it. It totally doesn't do what it's supposed to do, and makes parents feel like they're protected when they're not. Until they fix this problem, I wouldn't suggest this to other parents.
Bought this thing
This thing is just the absolute worst, seriously! I'm only 12 and I can't even chat with my best friends or play games because of it. Feels like my parents are watching my every move all day, every day. So frustrating! I've been telling everyone to steer clear of this thing. Save your money, it's not worth it at all!
Apps for my tablet
This app is awesome! It really helps my mom make sure I'm staying safe on my tablet and phone. She can even block websites and apps she doesn't want me using. It's like having a super hero mom watching out for me online.

This app is really cool! I can check out all the apps my parents are looking at on my phone, and I can even set limits on how long I use them. Plus, if I have any issues, the customer service folks are always there to give me a hand!

This tool is great for checking up on what my family does online. I can pick when they can use it and choose which apps they can use, so I know they're safe. It's super easy to use the web filter to block bad stuff too. Every parent worried about their kids' safety online should have it!
Monitoring software
I just bought some monitoring software to watch over my kid's online stuff and make sure they're safe on the internet. But, to be honest, I thought it was a bit too expensive and not as good as I thought it would be. My kid managed to get around the monitoring and delete the app pretty easily, which made me worry about how well it actually keeps them safe online. I'd recommend being careful if you're thinking about using this software for monitoring.

Having to constantly troubleshoot has been a hassle and frustrating, especially since I need to keep things hush-hush when checking my kid's device. The quick fix that customer support gave me only worked for a little bit before the issue popped up again, leading to a never-ending cycle of troubleshooting. All in all, I'm really let down by how unreliable this product is and wouldn't recommend it to anyone else.

Qustodio is awesome for keeping an eye on my boys' iPhone habits. I can check out what they're up to and decide how long they can be on their phones. It also has location tracking, although it's not super up-to-the-minute.

We tested out a few other options, but Qustodio really stood out as the most reliable and effective in keeping our 9-year-old in line. With Qustodio Premium, we were able to easily set up blocks on sites like YouTube, see where our kid was at all times, and keep tabs on what apps and websites they were using. The screen time limit feature was a game-changer for us in controlling how much device time our child was getting. It gave us some peace of mind as parents, knowing we had that extra layer of protection. All in all, we were super happy with what Qustodio had to offer.

They way it shows YouTube videos is brilliant, giving me a quick peek at each one. I also love getting alerts about any new apps they're using or downloading. Blocking or unblocking specific sites and apps is a breeze, and it clearly shows me which device the activity is coming from. All in all, Qustodio is hands down the best parental control software I've ever tried.

Useless for non-tech-savvy parents
The app was totally useless for my family because my 12-year-old managed to uninstall it without me even knowing. I count on technology to keep my kids safe, but this app totally let me down. If you're not more tech-savvy than your own kids, it's not worth spending your money on this.

This parental control app works great for keeping an eye on my kid's phone usage. I don't have it on my computer, 'cause my son doesn't use one, but it's a lifesaver on his phone. Just make sure to block the settings so he can't easily uninstall it. You gotta set a password to keep him from messing with it. Once it's all set up, it really helps make sure he's using his phone responsibly. Kids hating it just proves it's working. I've been using it since 2017 or 2018, and I've noticed a big improvement in how my kid uses his phone.
