Educational app for phonics
As a parent using the educational app for my child's learning, I have found it really helpful. The app covers a bunch of phonics stuff, like digraphs and split digraphs, which my child is learning at school. The only problem is that sometimes the app freezes and I have to download it again. It would be nice if they could fix that. I also like how I can easily go to specific phonics areas, like digraphs, and then go back to the start. Overall, I'm happy with the app and how it helps my child learn.
My children's educational progress
My kids love the activities and lessons at school, but it's frustrating for me because I don't really know how they're doing or what they should be learning next. It's like we're kind of in the dark, and that can be tough as a parent.
Educational program for children
Our 4 year old daughter has been loving this educational program. The activities are interactive and fun, making it easy for her to learn. But I do think it would be even better if there was a "Math" section along with the reading one. It would be great to have some catchy songs or other fun stuff to keep kids with short attention spans more engaged.
Educational and user-friendly toddler app
As a parent of a 2.5-year-old daughter, I gotta say, the Homer app has been a real game-changer for us. My little girl just loves using it, and I gotta admit, I feel pretty good about its safety and how age-appropriate it is. The way it's set up is so easy to use, even for her since she can't read yet. She can jump from game to game no problem, and it's really making learning super fun for her. They've got all kinds of games covering numbers, letters, shapes, you name it. And as a bonus, the app keeps track of her progress with ribbons on the activities she's finished, so it's easy for us both to see what she's nailed and what's still waiting to be explored. It's not just teaching her the basics, it's also sparking her creativity and testing her listening skills with all these different games and activities.
Educational program for homeschooling children
As someone who's been homeschooling their own kids and now their grandkids, I've checked out a bunch of educational stuff to help with teaching. And let me tell you, HOMER is the absolute best program we've ever tried. The fun interactive stuff keeps the kids hooked and eager to learn, which is super important for their growth. I love that there's a mix of subjects and activities available, making sure the kids get a well-rounded education. We can't wait to see how HOMER keeps helping and boosting our little ones on their learning path.
Started Homer for homeschooling during COVID
I started using Homer when my kid's school shut down for COVID, and I needed something for homeschooling. I really liked the program because it was fun and kept my son's interest. He had a blast with it and stayed engaged with his learning. But, when we got halfway through first grade, we ran out of stuff on his "pathway". It would be amazing if there was more content for 1st graders so we could keep going with it. Maybe some extra books or activities to keep him hooked.
Educational app for children
I recently got this educational app for my kiddos and I gotta say, I'm pretty happy with what it's got to offer. The activities are super engaging and manage to sneak in some learning alongside the fun. But here's the thing - you need to be online to use it. And honestly, that's a bit of a pain, especially when we're out and about without Wi-Fi. It would be awesome if they added some offline features so the kids could keep on learning even without internet. Like maybe some games they could play at the grocery store or in the car on a road trip. That would really make this app more convenient for us.
Kids learning app
This app ain't right for me! It says it's for kids up to 8 years old, but I'm 12 and it's way too simple. I messaged them tons of times asking for my money back, but they just told me to switch my level to "growing learner" or reinstall the app. Still too easy! And they haven't even gotten back to my emails. I paid for a whole year subscription, and now I'm stuck with a lame app. Not cool, eh!
Math/reading expansion for student progression
I just signed up my nephew for some extra math and reading help, wanting to push him a bit harder since he's pretty smart for his age. But, to be honest, I was kinda let down. The choices for subjects were pretty limited and he couldn't really move ahead to more challenging stuff. Even though he was getting better at the lessons, it felt like he was just going over the same things again and again. I was hoping for more flexibility and chances for him to move up to tougher material.
App for daughter's learning
My daughter really likes using the app for learning and playing, but sometimes there are some glitches in the Make Your Own Story part. It's not as fancy as some other apps, and the higher subscription price is a bit of a drawback.
My son's new favorite app
My son totally loves this app. We've checked out some other educational apps in the past, but he wasn't into them at all. But with this one, he's always excited to play! He's already starting to recognize letters, numbers, and some sight words, and it's only been a few weeks. I'm really impressed with how much he's picking up while having a blast.
Flying letters game for my 2 1/2 year old daughter
The flying letters game is really good, but my daughter is having a tough time getting the letters to the towers on her reading path. It would be so much better if she could just touch and drag the letters instead of trying to guess where they'll end up.
Waste of money
This app is so bad, eh. It's honestly the worst thing I ever tried to use. I couldn't even figure out how to cancel my subscription because it's just so terrible. I keep getting charged for something my kid doesn't even enjoy, you know. Don't even bother wasting your time with this garbage, for real. There are plenty of other apps out there that are way better for the money.
Educational app for young children
My little guy just loves this educational app! He's almost 3 and can't get enough of all the different things he can do on it. I like that it's not just fun for him but also teaches him important stuff. He's all about the songs and stories in the app, they're his top picks and he'll play with it for hours.
Learning tool for child
I recently bought a learning tool for my kid from here, and I gotta say, I'm pretty darn impressed. I've been using it for a few weeks now, and it's been fantastic for my little one's learning. He's just 3 years old, but he's getting the hang of it more and more each day. I can tell he really likes using it, and it's been a perfect way to get him ready for preschool. I'd definitely suggest this learning tool to any family wanting to prep their kid for school.
Lack of parental controls
The app is looking good for the kids, but as a parent, I was kinda bummed when I found out I couldn't lock down certain stuff I didn't want my little one to see. I make a point to steer clear of anything to do with Frankenstein or witches in our place. When I'm not right there watching my preschooler, she tends to stumble on videos that I'm not okay with, and there's no way for me to stop it. I reached out to customer service about this, and even though they said there weren't any parental controls, I was still able to see all the content even after I canceled my subscription. I'm gonna keep an eye out for any surprise charges.
Subscription cancellation issue
As a customer who cancelled my subscription over a year ago, I'm really frustrated that I'm still getting charged every month. I've been trying non-stop to reach customer service, but no luck. There's no phone number to call, and the email is ignoring me, which makes me feel powerless and like no one's listening to me. This lack of communication and not fixing the problem has made me lose faith in the company and is causing me extra stress and money troubles.
Children's educational tablet
I bought a kids' learning tablet not long ago, and I've been really let down by it. It keeps getting disconnected from the wifi and has a hard time opening the educational apps. Even when I try to use my data, it still gives me problems. I was expecting it to have more voice prompts for teaching colors, numbers, and other stuff, but it doesn't really deliver on that.
Educational app for children
I gotta say, I'm not super thrilled with the educational app I got for my daughter. She kind of likes it, but she's not crazy about it. One big issue is there's no clear learning path that covers both reading and math. It would be way better if there was a set path to follow instead of just clicking around different subjects and picking activities randomly. Plus, it would help if there was more practice for each letter or a more detailed section for each new letter she learns to really solidify the material.
Interactive learning app
Eh, that interactive learning app is pretty good for keeping the young ones engaged in learning stuff, but the problem is it doesn't give us parents much control over the time spent on the non-educational stuff like music videos, art, and games. My kid seems to be more interested in those side activities instead of focusing on the main learning stuff, which kinda defeats the purpose of the app. It would be much better if there was a way to set time limits or maybe earn extra time playing those sections after completing a certain amount of educational tasks. That way, us parents can make sure our kids are getting the most out of the app and staying on track with their learning goals.
