Educational app for phonics

App & Portal

As a parent using the educational app for my child's learning, I have found it really helpful. The app covers a bunch of phonics stuff, like digraphs and split digraphs, which my child is learning at school. The only problem is that sometimes the app freezes and I have to download it again. It would be nice if they could fix that. I also like how I can easily go to specific phonics areas, like digraphs, and then go back to the start. Overall, I'm happy with the app and how it helps my child learn.

My children's educational progress

App & Portal

My kids love the activities and lessons at school, but it's frustrating for me because I don't really know how they're doing or what they should be learning next. It's like we're kind of in the dark, and that can be tough as a parent.

Educational program for children

App & Portal

Our 4 year old daughter has been loving this educational program. The activities are interactive and fun, making it easy for her to learn. But I do think it would be even better if there was a "Math" section along with the reading one. It would be great to have some catchy songs or other fun stuff to keep kids with short attention spans more engaged.

Started Homer for homeschooling during COVID

App & Portal

I started using Homer when my kid's school shut down for COVID, and I needed something for homeschooling. I really liked the program because it was fun and kept my son's interest. He had a blast with it and stayed engaged with his learning. But, when we got halfway through first grade, we ran out of stuff on his "pathway". It would be amazing if there was more content for 1st graders so we could keep going with it. Maybe some extra books or activities to keep him hooked.

Educational app for children

App & Portal

I recently got this educational app for my kiddos and I gotta say, I'm pretty happy with what it's got to offer. The activities are super engaging and manage to sneak in some learning alongside the fun. But here's the thing - you need to be online to use it. And honestly, that's a bit of a pain, especially when we're out and about without Wi-Fi. It would be awesome if they added some offline features so the kids could keep on learning even without internet. Like maybe some games they could play at the grocery store or in the car on a road trip. That would really make this app more convenient for us.

Math/reading expansion for student progression

App & Portal

I just signed up my nephew for some extra math and reading help, wanting to push him a bit harder since he's pretty smart for his age. But, to be honest, I was kinda let down. The choices for subjects were pretty limited and he couldn't really move ahead to more challenging stuff. Even though he was getting better at the lessons, it felt like he was just going over the same things again and again. I was hoping for more flexibility and chances for him to move up to tougher material.

App for daughter's learning

App & Portal

My daughter really likes using the app for learning and playing, but sometimes there are some glitches in the Make Your Own Story part. It's not as fancy as some other apps, and the higher subscription price is a bit of a drawback.

Flying letters game for my 2 1/2 year old daughter

App & Portal

The flying letters game is really good, but my daughter is having a tough time getting the letters to the towers on her reading path. It would be so much better if she could just touch and drag the letters instead of trying to guess where they'll end up.

Lack of parental controls

App & Portal

The app is looking good for the kids, but as a parent, I was kinda bummed when I found out I couldn't lock down certain stuff I didn't want my little one to see. I make a point to steer clear of anything to do with Frankenstein or witches in our place. When I'm not right there watching my preschooler, she tends to stumble on videos that I'm not okay with, and there's no way for me to stop it. I reached out to customer service about this, and even though they said there weren't any parental controls, I was still able to see all the content even after I canceled my subscription. I'm gonna keep an eye out for any surprise charges.

Educational app for children

App & Portal

I gotta say, I'm not super thrilled with the educational app I got for my daughter. She kind of likes it, but she's not crazy about it. One big issue is there's no clear learning path that covers both reading and math. It would be way better if there was a set path to follow instead of just clicking around different subjects and picking activities randomly. Plus, it would help if there was more practice for each letter or a more detailed section for each new letter she learns to really solidify the material.

Interactive learning app

App & Portal

Eh, that interactive learning app is pretty good for keeping the young ones engaged in learning stuff, but the problem is it doesn't give us parents much control over the time spent on the non-educational stuff like music videos, art, and games. My kid seems to be more interested in those side activities instead of focusing on the main learning stuff, which kinda defeats the purpose of the app. It would be much better if there was a way to set time limits or maybe earn extra time playing those sections after completing a certain amount of educational tasks. That way, us parents can make sure our kids are getting the most out of the app and staying on track with their learning goals.
