Halfway through planning for my Grade 6 group, I remembered how badly our last word-game activity flopped. These cards were a pleasant surprise. The Uno-style game got them talking without realizing they were using academic terms. Three game options is handy too—less scrambling for me, which is honestly a win.

First round, my Grade 5/6 crew stared at the cards like I’d handed them tax forms. Then the oddball words started sticking. One kid used a new word at recess, which felt like a tiny miracle. Great game for sneaking vocabulary into a noisy afternoon.

Wasn't sure at first — I've always favoured their resource books — but these new games are actually nicely made and dead easy to pick up. One of them is a tad fiddly with pieces, but the rules are quick and familiar so the youth will catch on fast. Colleagues loved them before, and I get why now.

Saw these at a school fair and told my sister about them — glad I did. My six-year-old, who hates boring books, actually picks these up, and the games kept him busy. Delivery was quick and neat, and customer service answered my silly questions right away, and we're grateful. We'll buy more, honestly.
