Poor quality rods, purchased from Penn
I just bought some fishing rods from Penn, the Prevel and Squadron series. Gotta say, I was really disappointed with the quality - felt pretty subpar. It's a shame to see a company like Penn putting out products like these. Did some digging and found out they're owned by Pure Fishing now, which seems more focused on making money than keeping customers happy. I'd recommend steering clear of these products if you're thinking of buying.
10 fishing reels
Eh, I bought 10 fishing reels from this company, thinking I could use them for some boat fishing. But guess what? After only 10 uses, all of them crapped out on me with the same issue - the level wind thing stopped working. And get this, some of them didn't even make it past 1 or 2 uses! So, I reached out to customer service and they had the nerve to tell me these reels weren't meant for boat mackerel fishing, even though that's how they were advertised. They first said they'd give me a refund through the shop where I got the reels, but then they did a 180 and sent an email to the shop saying no dice on the refund. I am beyond cheesed off and feel like I've been straight up scammed by these guys. I dropped over £500 on these reels and now I'm thinking it might be time to get the lawyers involved, eh.
Rod and reel purchase
My purchase of a rod and reel from Penn didn't go as planned, eh. UPS delivered an empty box, which left me feeling pretty disappointed, eh. Even after I sent over pics and videos as proof, it took them weeks to send me a replacement. I was not happy about this long wait, eh. I paid for the product and was counting on a much faster fix, eh.
