The unpacking buzz — then a slow letdown

Returns & Refunds

the colour was spot on, the style sat nicely and I felt like my old self for a hot minute. That’s the part I want to highlight — it looked great right away, natural enough that I felt relieved. But then the reality set in. Within a few weeks the hair started knotting like mad, not just a little tangly, actual matted bits that were impossible to brush without losing chunks. I messaged the seller and they were polite, offered a $500 credit and sent a replacement, which I appreciated — gesture meant a lot in the moment. Problem two: I had to pay $170.84 in customs this time (never did before) and they asked me to pay and send a PayPal receipt so they could reimburse me. I paid last Thursday and now a week later the refund still hasn’t shown up, despite promises. Also noticed there aren’t many public reviews anywhere and felt weird about being blocked on social channels after asking questions. So yeah — nice look initially, customer tried to help, but the longevity and the money back bit left me wary. Hope they sort it out; fingers crossed.

Not what I paid for

Product

the colour labelling is off, and that messes with plans. I felt let down and annoyed, not because hair products can vary, but because the shade name seemed totally wrong. A small bit of advice: if you have a wedding or event, don’t order these last minute — ask for a swatch or buy early so you have a buffer. I’d still go back to my stylist, she fixed it, but Bellamy should get their shade chart sorted. Kind of a hassle, but not the end of the world.

Short on stock, long on excuses

Communication

don’t count on this being a smooth purchase — I ordered during a sale and it fell apart. I first saw their ads on Instagram and a friend had actually recommended them, so I figured I’d give it another go. I ordered a 22-inch jet black set (the 340 g option listed on their site), picked two-day expedited shipping and paid around $400 CAD in total. I’ve bought from them before with no major quality surprises, only slow shipping sometimes, so I wasn’t expecting chaos.
But the order should have shipped same day (I placed it in the morning), and three days later no tracking, no update. I reached out and learned they hadn’t even processed my order and — surprise — the item was suddenly out of stock, even though it’d been live on the site when I ordered. Their explanation was basically: it’ll take about a month to restock. They offered two “solutions”: a refund or an exchange at the price I’d paid. I told them I’d bought during a sale and wanted other 22-inch options; their reply was, basically, there’s nothing else at that sale price, so we’ll refund you. Great, except I still haven’t seen the refund after six days. Also, two days after I contacted them, the exact item came back in stock. Odd timing.
I get that inventory happens, but it’s the handling and communication that bugs me — they made me chase them, then offered only options that weren’t realistic, and the refund is slow. Emotionally? Frustrating and a bit dismissive (felt like I was just another ticket). I like their products when they arrive, but right now I wouldn’t risk this for an event or a deadline. If you’re just browsing, fine. If you need reliable timing or decent customer service, look elsewhere.
