I only wanted the 4 lb bag since the usual 12.5 was out — saw them in a local dog group and my neighbour had mentioned them, so I gave it a try. A few weeks later I get an email saying my order was filled. I rang within a couple hours to cancel and they said too late, even though the box apparently hadn’t left. They promised a return label, but I had to call again to actually get it. I mailed it back, they refunded the product but not the $6 shipping they charged, even though I cancelled before shipment. I told my sister to watch out and honestly it’s the billing that bothers me more than the delay. Feels petty, and it put me off reordering.

The customer service calls were worse: brusque reps, one that kinda cut me off, the usual “well our policy is…” script. I get policies, I do, but asking me to refuse delivery or haul the bag back to the post office just to get my own money refunded? Between work and errands and two dogs who expect dinner on schedule, no thanks. The delivery times were also a problem — slow enough that I had to hunt down alternatives because my dogs couldn’t wait. Small win: I’m actually grateful my bank stepped in and put a stop on further charges after I complained, so in the end it didn’t drain my account for weeks. That felt like a relief — not because the company made it easy, but because at least the dogs ended up on the right food and my wallet wasn’t empty. So: frustrating, annoying, kind of sketchy-feeling subscription setup, and customer service needs a manners course. But the food itself was fine and, weirdly, I’m glad I found an easier supplier in the chaos. Will think twice before signing up for anything that auto-bills again.
