I uninstalled it and walked away. I tried the cleanup tool for a couple of weeks this winter and at first it seemed fine — installer was straightforward and the cleaner found a handful of junk I didn’t want to deal with. But the trade-offs weren’t worth it. I didn’t expect to be stuck with their antivirus as the gatekeeper; even after turning off real-time protection Windows still behaved like their AV was in charge, which is annoying if you prefer a different solution. I cancelled the subscription through their payment partner, asked the company to remove me from marketing lists under GDPR, and they said I was removed. Yet the marketing emails kept coming every day to the same address. I flagged them as spam. The surprising bit: the cleaner actually did a decent job on temp files, I’ll give them that — but that single win doesn’t outweigh poor communication and persistent emails. Also learned later that better AV suites include similar cleanup tools, so I had no reason to stay. I’ll pass.

Even though I got some really good time extension offers, I was pretty bummed when I found out I was blacklisted when I tried to take advantage of them. At first, I was kinda suspicious and thought it might be a scam, but after going through a bunch of emails, it turned out to be true. I tried reaching out to their 'Live Support Chat widget' for help, but it seemed like it didn't even exist because I spent a long time looking for it. I've decided to just move on from this company once my contract is up in March 2025. The only reason I'm giving 2 stars is because the product itself is decent.

I really like how this product keeps all my devices working well. It's been reliable and I use it on all my computers. Buying the lifetime license was a good decision because it means I can keep using it for as long as I want. But it is frustrating that they don't send upgrade notifications to lifetime license holders. It doesn't seem fair that we miss out on the same options as people who buy the regular programs. I think they should do a better job of letting us know about upgrades, especially for the Ultimate version.
