Guide turned temples into punchlines
Guide turned temples into punchlines
ServiceMet Sebastiano after a rough overnight flight and a cranky lower back; needed an easy day. He paced things well and his little stories actually made the temple steps feel shorter — that guy can turn monuments into sitcom bits. Lunch was fine but a tad rushed, and we could’ve used one more breather between spots. All in all, a really pleasant, comfy way to see Nara.

Serviceask for more local tidbits and shortcuts, and maybe bring a light jacket — you'll want to linger.

CommunicationI squeezed this into a crazy travel day — a short walk right before our flight. Booking itself was fine, though the meeting point instructions were a bit fuzzy and I had to double-check with customer service, which they handled quickly and politely. The guide was upbeat and easygoing, made the rush feel less stressful. Price felt fair but nothing special. Overall a pleasant little reset for travel, would do it again if directions were clearer.

ServiceI almost didn't book this — thought a quick stroll wouldn’t add much before our 10-day Sicilian trip, but we went ahead last minute. My partner and I met Bianca in the historic centre one morning; first impression was that she knew her stuff but I was half-expecting canned lines. Turns out she pointed out neat little spots we'd have walked past, explained things in good English and kept it relaxed. Started sceptical, left actually pretty glad we did it, no fuss, good pace.

Servicehe’s really dedicated, so be clear about your priorities. I walked away happy and a bit smug about my finds.

Returns & RefundsRight after I clicked the payment link I started to get uneasy. I had emailed about the Dakar walking tour days earlier and the reply came with a direct payment URL — I paid €150, which was a dumb move. The first guide cancelled; the replacement never showed up as expected. Worse, my number was passed to someone else who called pretending to be the guide. He arrived very late, talked loud and came off aggressive, so we opted out. I reported it to Guydeez and asked for a refund; so far it's still pending. The one detail that stuck with me was how the random replacement tried to strong-arm the situation — glad we didn't go with him. I used the service in late spring while planning a trip; first impression was quick replies but shaky payment request. Overall relieved nothing worse happened, but still annoyed and waiting on money.

Servicepace was easy, not rushed, and honestly I left thinking, hmm, that really set the tone for the whole trip.
