Renovation supplies
So hey, just wanted to tell you about my recent trip to the store in East Gwillimbury, Ontario where I bought some renovation stuff. They had a pretty impressive variety of products, which was cool. But man, the place was kind of a mess! The shelves were all dusty, so I had to ask someone to clean them up before I could even start looking around. And don't even get me started on the women's washroom - it was gross, looked like it hadn't been cleaned in ages. When I mentioned it to an associate, they said there were some issues with management that were affecting the store's cleanliness. It's a shame because they really do have some good stuff there, but they really need to step up their game when it comes to keeping things tidy.
Toilet purchase
On September 22nd, I bought a toilet from your website. The delivery details were a bit unclear because it was handled by a separate transportation company. RONA didn't keep us updated on the delivery, and we couldn't get a hold of them. So, we had to organize the delivery on our own with another company. The toilet was supposed to arrive on October 10th.
Ordered some stuff for my room
So I ordered some stuff for my room and what a mess it turned out to be! They went and canceled my order for no good reason, claiming my address was wrong even though it wasn't, and when I called in for help, they couldn't do a thing. Such a huge waste of my time, now my room is still empty. Ugh, so frustrating!
Yeti 500 X battery bag
I had a terrible time with the online ordering system at this store. I was trying to order a Yeti 500 X battery bag, which I thought would be easy, but boy was I wrong! The online ordering was a complete disaster. I did everything the system asked, but it never said my order was confirmed. So, I clicked the button again, only to find out that I accidentally ordered twice! When I called customer service for help, no one picked up the phone. I couldn't even cancel the order online because the website was a mess. Eventually, Purolator shipped the order, and I had to make a trip to the store to return it. Such a waste of time and energy, not to mention the frustration of dealing with their incompetence. I would suggest avoiding their online ordering at all costs.
Shower purchase
I bought a shower online for $3,140 and was super excited for it to arrive. But when it finally did, I was so bummed out because it looked nothing like the pictures on the website. The colors were all off, and the quality was way less than I was expecting. I had to dish out more money to get an expert to set it up for me, which was a pain. When I reached out to customer service, they tried to offer me just $100 at first, can you believe it? After going back and forth for almost an hour, they finally upped it to $200. It was such a frustrating and disappointing experience. I also noticed that the reviews on the site seemed kinda filtered, so now I don't even know what to trust anymore.
Lumber purchase
Since the Americans took over and the pandemic hit, prices keep going up like crazy! Comparing them to other stores, the difference is unreal. And don't even get me started on the employees, they never lend a hand. The line at checkout is always backed up, and the wood section seems to be closed more often than not because they never have enough cashiers. I shop there a lot for my job and it's really frustrating. It's a shame because it used to be such a cool store, but now it feels more like a corner shop. Home Depot, on the other hand, is so much better at listening to customers and providing the service professionals like me expect.
