Quick fix for a missing light

I needed one more permanent outdoor light after moving, and the sale had ended. When I called customer care they quickly matched the earlier price — that’s when I relaxed. Practical, no fuss, actually pretty relieved.

I didn’t plan to get emotional about LED strips, funny enough, but there I was — halfway up a ladder thinking, “this is worth it.” I wanted new exterior lighting because the old set looked sad and brittle and I kept tripping over extension cords; plus I like having the porch look put together, especially in the evenings when I’m sitting with tea. I’m not exactly quick with tech these days, so it took me over a week to get nine strands up around the house. I tested each strand as I went, or at least I thought I did. I checked that they lit up, but I didn’t go through every single colour. Rookie move.

Long chase, small victory

Still annoyed about the hassle and zero updates, but hey, money back and lesson learned. Also wish they'd cover the return postage next time, less faff.
