I saw a really good deal and couldn't resist buying some Christmas gifts. The stuff I got was exactly what I wanted from this store that's known for good quality. The packaging was done right too. My only problem was with the website - it was a bit tricky to add things to my cart, but I eventually figured it out and bought everything I wanted.
Leaving gift purchase
I went to a store on Cheapside to buy a farewell gift for a friend. The staff, Scott and Ayra, were super friendly and helpful. They gave me good suggestions for a unique gift I wanted to put together, and the finished product was nicely wrapped. I bought something and they wouldn't give me free delivery even though they said they would. They only had a super expensive delivery option, which is so not fair. Why do they say one thing and do another? It's not fair!
3 Christmas gift sets
I picked up 3 Christmas gift sets for my family, but when they showed up, there were no nice boxes and the shower gels were all loosey-goosey like they were partying. I tried phoning the hotline, but it took ages to move up just one spot. Eventually, I decided to head to the store and the manager hooked me up with some boxes. Not cool, dude.
Overpriced shower gel
I just bought some shower gel from this store and was really bummed because they don't do refunds. I couldn't make up my mind on the scent, so I got a tiny travel-size bottle to test it out. When I saw I spent too much, I tried to return the small bottle, but they said they only do exchanges or store credit. I think it's totally unfair and absurd to not give refunds. I've never come across a company that won't give you your money back. It's not cool to punish customers who actually go to their physical stores.
First-time purchase, exchange-only refund policy
I recently bought something at Molton Brown for the first time and it wasn't the greatest experience. Last week, I got something at their store and then a few days later, I decided I wanted to return it. But when I went back to the store to get my money back, they told me they only do exchanges, no refunds. It would've been nice if they had told me that before I bought it, then maybe I wouldn't have bought it in the first place. What's even more annoying is that none of the staff mentioned this policy to me when I was buying it, and the thing I got wasn't cheap. The receipt said I could return unopened items within 28 days, but the store staff said that wasn't true. It seems like they don't really care about their customers or their happiness.
Men's aftershave purchase
Hey, just a heads up if you're thinking of ordering online from this store. I ordered some men's aftershave online for £120 and let me tell you, it was a total nightmare. When I was trying to put in my address on their website, I couldn't get it right because of some glitch. I ended up typing my address in manually, but then got a confirmation email with only half of my address showing up. Now I'm completely in the dark about where my order is going to end up. They ignored my request to cancel and still sent my items out, plus when I wanted to return the expensive stuff, they wouldn't take it back unless I paid a hefty fee. Do yourself a favor and steer clear of that store, it's not worth the hassle.

I am so frustrated with how my gifts are packaged. It's like they don't even pay attention to the details. Why can't they just remember to include a gift bag? It's not that difficult! And then they offer to send it separately, but not until Tuesday? That's just silly. And don't even get me started on the "minis" they want to give me as compensation. It's a joke. I want my gift to be complete and look nice right from the beginning, not thrown together at the last minute. They really need to step up their game!

I just bought a Christmas gift set from Molton Brown, which was supposed to have a bottle of shower gel and lotion in a gift box for a present. Sadly, when the package arrived (3 days late), there was no gift box included. Even though I tried to explain why that didn't make sense, the representative still insisted on sending it late. As an apology, they offered to send me a sample pack instead of the gift box. Today, I got the sample pack, which had 3 small bottles of shower gel and a note that just said 'enjoy'. This gesture didn't really make up for the mistake and felt more like an afterthought than a real effort to fix things. In the end, I was let down by the poor customer service and how they handled the situation.
Discounts not honoured
So I bought something from this company using a promo code I found in a magazine. When I checked out, the discount was there, but in the email they sent me later, the full price was listed. I got in touch with customer service and they said there wasn't any promo with the magazine I mentioned. I showed them a picture of the offer, but they said it was up to the marketing team and the magazine to sort out. I was pretty annoyed at how they weren't being honest, so I decided to wait until after my vacation to try again. After two weeks of hearing nothing, I sent another email saying I might have to go to Trading Standards because of false advertising. Right away, they sent me a refund for the discount, without even saying sorry. It was clear that they didn't really care about their customers at all. I'm going to listen to another customer's advice and shop somewhere else next time. The whole process was just disappointing and frustrating for me.
Expensive gift from a well-meaning elderly person
So I got this fancy present from an old person at Christmas, but couldn't use it because of my skin issue. Tried to take it back to the store with the receipt, but they only gave me store credit instead of cash. Even after explaining, the manager said no to a refund.
