Learn Spanish
I recently started using this program to learn Spanish, and it's been pretty interesting. I just wish that they would also include the English phrases along with the Spanish ones. Sometimes I get a bit confused with just the pictures and Spanish words. I think it would definitely help me better understand the phrases and sentences.
Learning app for German
I really like this app because it lets me learn German whenever I feel like it, even if I only have 10 minutes to spare. Since I'm retired and have a lifetime subscription, I can take my sweet time with it. It really gives me the feeling that I'm right in Germany whenever I'm using it!

2. The style of learning from Rosetta Stone suits me much better than just blindly remembering call and response phrases. I feel like I'm actually discovering the language. It takes longer than memorizing a tourist phrasebook, but I end up being able to understand and use the language effectively. In Chinese, I have the option for hanzi and pinyin at the same time which is invaluable.<br>Mobile app usability
The online language learning program works pretty good and helps me learn without needing translations. But the app on my phone is a bit tricky to use - it's not very user-friendly, making it hard to pair up phrases with pictures and getting me frustrated. Plus, the speech recognition feature on the app is not the best, it keeps showing errors and that makes learning less fun. I mainly rely on my iPhone for language learning, so these problems are making me think about cancelling my subscription. I'll keep an eye on how the app does for the next little while before I make a final choice.

I finally came across this language app that actually teaches you how to speak! I've been trying to learn Greek, and most apps don't even give you speaking practice. Rosetta Stone is simple and really helps you learn. It's not like those other language apps that are all about games, which I prefer. Definitely worth the money.

This language learning tool has been really helpful for me. I've been using it for a few weeks now and I'm still figuring out which level works best for my two languages. I've realized that my mistakes mostly come from misunderstanding the images instead of the written or spoken parts. It would be nice if some of the images were bigger to make them clearer. This software has been awesome for practicing my pronunciation, which is super important when learning a new language. As someone who's always trying to broaden my horizons and pick up new languages, I thought it would be wise to get the lifetime language learning package. The resources they gave were super helpful and easy to follow. The lessons were nicely laid out and let me go at my own speed, which was great. I definitely saw a big improvement in my language skills once I stuck with the program.

But, here's the thing - I've run into a bit of a frustrating problem with the voice recognition. My microphone works fine for everything else, but with this program, the voice recognition is hit and miss. It keeps saying it's working fine when it's not! Overall, the program is great for serious learners, but might be a bit overwhelming for casual tourists just looking to grasp the basics of a language.
App, not as good for practicing as I thought
I just started using this app, and it's alright, I suppose. I was kind of hoping I could use it while I'm driving like some of those other apps, but that's a no-go. And sometimes it doesn't even pick up my voice, even when I'm right by the mic!

Improving in this language learning program would be a lot easier if we had more choices when it comes to picking exercises and levels. I mean, repetition is great for learning, but always being stuck doing the same basic exercises can get pretty annoying, eh? It would be awesome to have more say in what exercises we do based on how hard they are or what type they are. That way, we could tailor our learning experience to suit our own needs and make progress more efficiently, you know?

They are quick to take your money, but if you have any problems, they will just fob you off!
They bought a company named Livemocha, and now refuse to honor their commitments. Livemocha's product activation webpage now points to Rosetta Stone. I bought a Livemocha lifetime Spanish course. When I go to activate my course, it points to the Rosetta Stone website. There is no way to activate the course I have paid for. When I contacted their support department, I was told by Sarah that they no longer support this product and I needed to purchase a new one from Rosetta Stone.
I explained that I had already paid for this lifetime product and should not have to pay again. I was told the same thing, they do not support it. I was told I could have a 3 month free trial which is available to anyone.
I explained I was not happy with this response, and wished to log an official complaint. I was told I would have to write a letter to their legal department! I wrote back asking for their email address, and got sent the same email again from Sarah as if I was some uneducated fool, saying I had to write a letter and send it via post to:

I explained that they must be on email, otherwise how else do they communicate with the rest of the company. Below is the response:

Rosetta Stone are very happy to take your money online, boast they are an online language site, yet when you have a problem, all of a sudden they live in the dark ages and need to be written to via a letter because they do not have email.
These people are nothing but charlatans with no ethics or morality. They will happily take your money online within seconds, then leave you high and dry if you have a problem.
There are plenty of other more ethical language learning sites to choose from. Do yourselves a favor, and steer clear of these thieves.
