The company dates from 1884, when a certain Michael Marks opened his first small market stall at the Penny Bazaar and later joined forces with Tom Spencer. NEGATIVE I submitted an order for $70 to be picked up 26/9/20. I was advised there was an issue with my order.After spending 15 mins on hold ( I was calling from Canada) I was told the items were out of stock. I asked for a refund and was told a refund could not be processed until the item was in stock.....ridiculous! I escated the complaint to a more senior individual and eventually got a refund of course it will not be processed for days. I called my elderly mother who had waited to pick up the order. She had been to the store and the product was in stock but they did not have a record of my Order. She is 82 and waited 20 mins. I called again and spent a total of 90 minutes to discover they order was not submitted to the store despite having be paid for. DO NOT ORDER ONLINE FOR PICKUP FROM M & S.
