I ordered my sons (Champions League Finals 1999) shirt on 27 December for his birthday on 5 January. It’s now 18 February and I have still not received the shirt. I live in Sydney, Australia.
My story: When the shirt didn’t arrive by 5 Feb I checked the tracking information which told me that delivery was attempted at 11.50pm and 3.42am (yes, those times are correct) and because I wasn’t ‘available’ at these hours the package was ‘returned to sender’. Clearly something wrong with this picture…unless courier companies do indeed deliver at those hours and I have never noticed? Either way, apparently this is now my problem to solve. My first email to Man Utd Customer Service was six weeks ago (after I learned the item was 'returned to sender') , and I have now emailed them a total of eight times to try and get some kind of resolution or even a basic understanding of what’s gone wrong. However, the team (seven different people have replied over the course of the eight emails) have completely washed their hands of all responsibility, saying that because they used a ‘third party provider’ to deliver the shirt, they could do nothing until the shirt was returned to their warehouse. No offer of refund or replacement shirt at any stage. They also have not acknowledged or even tried to explain the ‘attempted’ delivery times in the middle of the night.
This is the absolute worst service I have EVER received – online or offline. I also don’t understand how this situation is now on me to chase/resolve. I’m the one who is out of pocket, with no shirt, a sad son and no plan from them to put it right.
Bad service terrible customer services. Had a to ask how much longer till I get my top to be told they not started printing yet but when asked for refund they refused. Then they said it had been printed and being sent out next day.
I ordered the shirt early March 2019, to be sent to Dubai. 1 week later i was contacted to say that i needed to pay Dubai duty in advance before the shirt could be sent, which i paid. I assumed that this would get the shirt delivered to the address, now some 5 months later i was given the options to say that they could not make delivery??? This package was going to the Atlantis hotel, which has its own mail room and it was for a prominent member of their management.
The email from united direct also said if i didn't respond within 1 week they would destroy the shirt so now i have last years shirt, they won't refund or give a plausible explanation as to what happened to the shirt over the past 5 months. If you have a problem just expect someone to read company policy to you over and over again with no attempt to resolve the issue. If it is an over seas order don't take the chance as you will be let down.
It's been more than a MONTH since I've ordered and I still haven't received anything. After repeatedly sending emails and calling customer service I receive two emails asking me to confirm the shipping address in the space of 3 days. I answered both immediately and have received nothing more since then, of course they also took my money less than a day after the order. This has been an absolute nightmare to deal with...
It has now been 17 days since my order. I have not gotten the Jersey yet. I have emailed twice, and tried to call them, but nothing is happening. I got an automatic email saying that I would get an answer within 24 hours, but it's been over 1 week since my first email.
I wonder how long it will take to get back to me, and atleast get my Jersey... Lets see....
Ordered the new kit with Beckham 7 on it. Got an Email saying it will be dispatched within 1-2 days. Been 11 days, have had no email regarding delivery. Money has already been taken out of my account. Emailed them a few times and only got an automated reply. Looks like the shop is run exactly how Mr Ed Woodward runs the club, one transfer at a time. Not shopping here again ever. If I don't receive my order before the next home game I am going to cancel it. Worst customer service ever, greedy club. Service and delivery should get no stars at all. Avoid shopping with them at all costs.
