GreaterGood

While we still have loads of mean people in this world, it seems that more people are becoming aware of the Importance of being kind. Or, who hasn't experienced that high of putting a smile on a sorrowful face or feeding a hungry person? Even scientific sources may now be laying credence to the existence of that phenomenon that has come to be known as 'helpers high'. As the eco-tourist  Mirele Mann explains it "when you do something good for someone else, your brain's pleasure centres light up, releasing endorphin (the feel-good hormone) and producing this high". Now, a brand is known as GreaterGood also claims to build an entire business on the principle of "helping people, pets, and the planet".

About GreaterGood
GreaterGood' is a registered trademark of CharityUSA. The brand claims to exist just to empower people around the world "to affect positive change by making ordinary online actions extraordinary". How do they go about achieving this goal? "When you shop at a GreaterGood store or take other actions at one of our cause sites", says an official company source, "you generate funding (free to you!) that benefits people". Founded in 1999, GreaterGood claims to have used this strategy to raise over $60 million in charity donations in 2 decades. The company's 8 physical locations are spread across four US states and three other countries (Kenya, Mexico, and Armenia). The brand presents itself as a member of Conservation Circle Rainforest Trust and endorsed by Wildlife Friendly Enterprise Network. You should read independent customer reviews of GreaterGood here to learn more about the company and its assortment of products and services.

Products, and Services of GreaterGood
There are a lot of activities presented on the GreaterGood website through which anyone could support charitable causes as the company claims. For example, you can sign a petition to raise awareness against an instance of injustice. One can also participate in one of GreaterGood's 'signature programs' where any user can get sponsors to fund the effort of GreaterGood's 24 charitable causes that are parts of the program. To achieve this much, all a user has to do is to click on a button tagged 'click to give' at zero financial cost to the user. Some of these signature programs are rescue rebuild which is targeted at rescuing endangered pets, Rescue Bank and Supplies for Shelters, Madrean Discovery, a program designed to "save the Sonoran Sky Islands". There is also a signature program devoted to feeding veterans, another for giving a voice to girls while providing them with scholarships, and yet another for disaster response. Lastly, GreaterGood has an online store that stocks items like footwear, clothing, paintings, household goods, jewellery, and gift items. According to the company, by purchasing any of the items, a part of a shopper's purchase money goes into supporting one of GreaterGood's charitable causes.
