    Really cool hiking boots

    I got these really amazing hiking boots and was super pumped to share my thoughts on them. So, I wrote up a review, got a confirmation that it was up, but when I went to look, it wasn't there! I reached out to customer service and they told me it was just a matter of time before it showed up. But it's been a while and I'm still waiting! Now I'm not sure if I can rely on the reviews they put out there!

    I just went to the store to buy some outdoor gear, and let me tell you, the service was amazing! The staff, especially John, David, and Craig, were super helpful and knew their stuff. John, especially, went out of his way to talk to me and answer all my questions. I felt like they really cared about me as a customer. The whole experience was awesome, and I'll for sure be going back for more gear in the future.

    I bought a face mask online just the other day, and when it showed up, I saw that the stitching was all wonky and starting to come apart. Even though I didn't buy it right from them, MEC really stepped up to fix things. They gave me a discount on the mask and threw in a free replacement piece. I was super impressed with the amazing customer service and how they dealt with everything like pros.

    Backpacking meals

    A few years ago, I bought a bunch of backpacking meals, but they didn't have one of the meals I wanted. Instead of letting me know or giving me something else, they just sent three of a different meal. I have food allergies and I don't live close to a store, so it's important for me to get what I ask for. I tried calling them, but couldn't reach anyone, and they also didn't reply to my email. Their lack of communication and customer service made me feel frustrated and let down. I was thinking about buying more stuff from them, but now I'm not so sure.

    As someone who loves the great outdoors, I was so let down by the choices at this store. The stuff didn't fit well, cost way too much, and was just plain low quality. I wouldn't even trust their gear for a casual hike, never mind a tough mountain trek. It's pretty obvious that the quality has really gone downhill since the last time I was here. I used to come here all the time, but it looks like now they care more about making money than selling good, long-lasting outdoor gear.

    Failed ski trip plans

    Don't bother with this store if you want good service. I bought ski goggles and they said I'd get them in a week. Then they kept making excuses and I stupidly went along because the prices were cheap. But then out of nowhere, they cancelled my order, leaving me high and dry for my trip. No warning, no communication. Now I'm stuck without the gear I need and no time to find it elsewhere. I won't be shopping online from them again.

    Ordered product for in-store pickup

    I ordered something online to pick up in store and it was a total disaster with their customer service. I paid for it online, went to the store, and they didn't even have it ready. I waited for over an hour and finally decided to cancel my order. MEC said they would give me my money back, but it's been almost a year and I still haven't seen it. I've tried contacting them many times, but no luck reaching anyone. I'm really disappointed in how they're handling things. I've given up on the $50 and won't be shopping there again.

    Kids snowsuit purchased on clearance

    I just bought a child's snowsuit for $130 on sale, down from $170. After not hearing anything about shipping for 5 days, I called customer service. I waited on hold for 20 minutes before asking for a call back. The call back came at 8pm, but it only rang twice and then ended. I had to wait another 20 minutes on hold before they told me they couldn't fulfill the order.

    I picked up a camping stove that was supposed to work like a charm, but it turned out to be a total flop. When I went to return it, nobody was willing to lend a hand, and now I'm down some major dollars. My mom always warned me about those online shops, but I didn't pay attention.     So I ordered some shoes that were on sale, eh? But man, they were taking forever to get here. So I had to hop online and chat with someone to figure out what was up. And get this - turns out the shoes were delayed because they were switching warehouses. Can you believe it? Then, after waiting for like a whole month, they went and canceled my order. Can you imagine my frustration, eh? They only gave me a discount code as compensation, too. But get this - when I checked their website, the shoes were still there, just not on sale anymore! Can you believe the nerve of some companies, eh?

    Return process frustrations

    The return process at this store is just awful, eh! It's so slow and takes forever, which is totally not okay in this day and age, you know? When you try to return something, it's like it disappears into thin air with the post office, and then the store doesn't even acknowledge it until they feel like it. It can take weeks, maybe even months, it's just crazy, don't you think?
